About Us

Welcome to Favoured Holman Education Centre, a nurturing, learner-centered school dedicated to providing a strong educational foundation for children in pre-primary and primary. Guided by the Kenyan Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), we create a safe, stimulating, and joyful environment where young learners are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and develop their full potential. Every child is valued, their abilities recognized, and their confidence built from the very first day they join us.

Favoured Holman Education Centre is located in Holo, Kisumu County, Kisumu West Sub-County, along Kisumu Bondo Road C27. The school was founded by a passionate educator who previously worked in Nairobi. Favoured Holman began as a response to the growing number of orphans and vulnerable children, particularly in regions heavily affected by HIV/AIDS. Motivated by the desire to make a difference, the founder and her family moved to Kisumu to support children in need. What began with just five children has now grown into a thriving school dedicated to nurturing young learners.

Our school is founded on the aspiration to establish a successful and sustainable educational center that provides affordable, high-quality, and comprehensive education services, especially for children from low-income households. Driven by the principle of social inclusion, we create a conducive environment that embraces social, religious, and cultural diversity while supporting every learner to achieve their full potential. We strive to offer a dynamic learning community where teachers and parents work harmoniously together to guide pupils into becoming lifelong learners.

In line with the CBC framework, our teaching approach focuses on equipping learners with essential skills that support lifelong learning. Through interactive lessons, hands-on projects, playful activities, and guided exploration, children develop communication skills, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and self-expression. Learning at Favoured Holman goes beyond textbooks, allowing pupils to actively participate, explore ideas, and apply knowledge in meaningful and age-appropriate ways.

Our experienced and passionate teachers, supported by modern classrooms, playful learning corners, and safe outdoor spaces, work tirelessly to nurture the whole child — academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Co-curricular activities, including music, creative arts, games, and swimming, allow children to discover and develop their talents, build teamwork, and grow in self-confidence.

As an independent private school, we target key areas that holistically develop our students as successful, motivated learners who strive to achieve their best. We strongly believe that through building strategic partnerships with the local community, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and corporate entities that share our vision and cause, we can enhance our capacity to achieve this aim. By blending the CBC framework with strong Christian values, Favoured Holman Education Centre guides learners to become confident, caring, responsible, and capable young citizens ready to thrive in school and beyond.
